Several of the Mountaineer Green Office’s programmes support and encourage the creation and development of near-natural gardens, as well as the retention and use of rainwater.
\nWetlands are also a priority in gardens and public spaces. The new publication of the Hegyvid\u00e9ki Green Office focuses on garden ponds and the district’s resources.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/i>“We dive underwater to find out about the rich life below the surface, and take a look at the useful features to consider when designing a garden pond. You’ll see that even a small area of water can help the wildlife in your garden and ultimately make your everyday life more colourful and healthy.<\/i><\/p>\n

We look back at our local history, we tell of the treasures of bygone eras that are still with us today, from Buda Castle, through the gardens of the villas to the hilltop, we take a look at several places.
\nWe hope that those who like to read about the “water of kings” will also be interested in dragonflies, and vice versa, those who prefer to enjoy the floating of the frog’s tail in their everyday life will also take a look at Gizi Bajor’s former garden.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>

In the publication, researchers from the Institute of Aquatic Ecology of the HUN-REN Ecological Research Centre – Barbara Barta, Zs\u00f3fia Horv\u00e1th, Zsuzsanna M\u00e1rton –
\nand the historian of the Hegyvid\u00e9k Local History Collection – Gergely F\u00f6ldv\u00e1ry – will guide us through the labyrinths of science and history.
\nThey help us to discover, learn about and enhance the value of the district’s waters.<\/p>\n
